We’re excited to announce the launch of the new BADBIR database, designed to provide a modern, secure, and user-friendly experience for all our users. This upgrade marks a significant step forward in improving reliability, usability, and future scalability.

Why the New Database?
Our team has invested considerable effort into creating a system that meets modern standards and addresses the limitations of the previous platform.
Key improvements include:
- Upgraded to modern standards for better performance and maintainability
- Enhanced security for all user and patient data
- Hosted on a secure University server
- Opportunities for future enhancements
What’s New?
The new database retains familiar features but introduces several enhancements:
Login & Security
- Log in using your email address instead of a username
- Two-factor authentication remains mandatory for added security
Improved Navigation
- Redesigned home page with a central toolbar
- Report an Issue button for quick feedback
Patient Management
- New Patient Summary Page with clear indicators:
- Green = completed follow-ups
- Red = overdue follow-ups
- Separate Consent Form Page for better organization
New Functionalities
- Click-to-Copy for dates
- Methotrexate titration feature for dose adjustments
- Concomitant therapy search to find previous medications easily
Data Insights
- Home page statistics with graphs showing follow-up and query activity
- PASI and DLQI charts for visualizing disease severity trends
- Ability to enter score-only DLQIs when breakdowns aren’t available
Printing Options
- Print toggles on Patient Summary and History pages to customize printouts
Transition Timeline
- New database pilot phase started for selected users in November 2025
- New database goes fully live: January 2026
- Old database retired: February 1, 2026
- Training resources and video tutorials will be shared soon
