Dermatology Research at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust
“At London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, we are a major centre for clinical trials and national research studies. We actively recruit patients across our dermatology services at Northwick Park Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, and Ealing Hospital, and conduct Phase II and Phase III clinical trials through the Clinical Research Facility based at Northwick Park Hospital.
Our dedicated dermatology research team comprises consultant dermatologists, specialty registrars, research nurses, and clinical pharmacists who work collaboratively to deliver high-quality research and provide patients with access to innovative therapies and treatment opportunities.
We have been actively involved in several nationally-recognised studies and registries, including BADBIR, ASTAR, and B-STOP, alongside numerous clinical trials in eczema, psoriasis, and alopecia. Over recent years, our department has been one of the most active dermatology research sites in the North Thames region and has consistently ranked among the leading recruiters for several studies.
We have participated in BADBIR since its inception more than 15 years ago and are proud to have contributed to its continued success. Our longstanding involvement reflects our commitment to advancing dermatological knowledge, improving patient outcomes, and supporting the development of safer and more effective treatments for patients with skin disease.”
